On November the 28th 2017, Cornwall Council is holding a 'Planning Summit'. It does then seem an appropriate time for us to ask you a few questions about the Pre-App process/protocol.

Policy Response PR11-17 Citizenship and Civic Engagement
NALC has published its response to the 'Citizenship and Civic Engagement' policy consultation. They suggest that local councils can play a vital role in encouraging social cohesion and civic engagement in their areas but more support is needed from higher tiers of government in order for this to happen. Following a number of enquiries relating to the day-to-day management of public toilets, Bethany carried out a short survey of members.
This survey was well responded to and hence Bethany was able to put together a short report outlining many of the common themes, experiences and pieces of advice.
This report has been sent to members and is also now available to view/ download from our website.

Please check our documents pages for an updated version of the Transparency Fund application form.
Following feedback from County Associations, NALC revisited the form and have added an additional option to the form allowing applications to note that 'NO' we haven't received funding. Previously it was unclear as to how councils should communicate this on the form without just skipping the box.
