E-learning modules from CALC, have been produced in association with NALC and Nimble e-learning platforms. They provide an opportunity for member councils to ensure their officers and councillors have an introductory understanding of key topics.
E-learning is undertaken on the delegates own device, at your own pace. It is estimated that each module would take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Delegates will require an email address and suitable device to undertake the training.
Enrolment is made by CALC, at the request of the member Council, who will be invoiced for each delegate enrolled at £14 plus VAT per module, per delegate. Councils will need to supply the delegates email address and specify the course requested to CALC.
An introductory email will be sent to the delegate requiring them to register with the training portal, prompting them to set their own password and access their first course. Learners may need to check their spam/junk folder just in case Nimble emails go there.
Once the individual has created an account, subsequent modules can be requested through CALC and completed by the individual using their account. Courses must be requested through the Clerk/CALC as payment is authorised and made by the council.
On enrolment CALC will invoice the council for each delegate on each course. We will keep members advised if individuals enrol and fail to complete courses so that your budgets get used appropriately. Each module concludes with a short assessment to consolidate learning.
