Helen Price

I retired four years ago from working as a community nurse here in Cornwall, although I now work two days a week as a bank nurse on the community.

I was born in Inverness Scotland and left in 1967 to join the Royal Air Force where I started my career in nursing. I have worked in various locations around the country, moving to Cornwall from Guernsey in 2005. I was a member of the St John Ambulance for 13 years, training and assessing the volunteers in different aspects of first aid and care.

I live in Yeolmbridge and was co-opted to my local Parish Council 6 years ago, where at present I am the chair person.

I heard about CALC in October 2017 at the AGM and in response to a recruiting drive by the Association, I applied to join and was appointed to the Executive in November 2017.
