New guidance on easements over common land and village greens
NALC has recently issued an updated version of its Legal Topic Note 57. The revised LTN removes detail on the old legal position and makes the guidance contained in the note more relevant. A copy can be found in our Documents section.

Additional Bank Holiday 2022
Following the Government announcement that there will be an additional bank holiday to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022, the National Joint Council for Local Government Services (NJC) has issued a circular on this subject. Website Accessibility Requirements
The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 aim to ensure websites are accessible to people with various disabilities. From 23 September 2020, all local councils must have an action plan and an accessibility statement in place and have started work to make their websites become more accessible.

The government has now produced guidance for the safe use of multi-purpose community facilities and guidance for the safe use of council buildings which include what activities can take place from 4 July and what practical steps can be taken to manage risks.
