Section 137 limit 2020/21
The government has confirmed that the appropriate sum for the purpose of section 137(4)(a) of the Local Government Act 1972 (the 1972 Act) for parish and town councils in England for 2020-21 is £8.32 per elector.
(The amount for 2019/20 was £8.12 per elector)

NALC Legal Briefing - L01-19
NALC has reissued its Legal Briefing L01-19 on the Code of Recommended Practice on Local Authority publicity, which covers obligations relating to the pre-election period or 'purdah'.
It is recommended that members reacquaint themselves with the requirements of the Code in the lead-up to the forthcoming general election.
