Local Government Pay negotiations 2020/21 - update

The National Employers have now made what they say is their final offer of a 2.75% pay increase from April 1st 2020, plus an additional one day's leave which would increase the minimum entitlement from 21 to 22 days per year (plus public holidays). The trade unions (Unison, Unite and GMB) are now in a period of consultation with their members on whether the offer should be accepted. As Unite's consultation runs through to mid-August, a conclusion to this year's pay round is unlikely before the end of August at the earliest.
