On 11th May the Government introduced into Parliament the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill which includes important local democracy initiatives and proposals for planning reform.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities have launched an online survey seeking views on how streets are named, and how names can be changed.
The government is considering legislation to ensure there is a common requirement across England for votes on proposed changes of street names and is interested in views on how this would be implemented.

The Keep Britain Tidy Chewing Gum Task Force Grant Scheme is open for expressions of interest here.
The Chewing Gum Task Force brings together major chewing gum producers, including Mars Wrigley and Perfetti Van Melle, as well as some producers of nicotine replacement therapy gum and is administered by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
